I.T. Services has deployed and maintains a number of firewalls, which are network systems that are designed to block unauthorized access while permitting legitimate network traffic. Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology provides secure remote access and secure data transmission between devices that are not connected to the University wired or wireless campus networks and University systems. The the Palo Alto GlobalProtect software that you can install on your device makes it seem as if it is on the campus network by setting up a tunnel which encrypts all traffic between your computer and the University firewall.
The University of Windsor maintains a Unix server named ARC1 (which stands for Academic and Research Computing). It offers a number of Unix applications as well as some analytical programs.
This group calendar feature of Exchange Online and Outlook allows users to reserve resources, such as conference rooms and audio-visual equipment. For example, you can look up the availability and reserve a conference room when you are scheduling a meeting.

Active Directory (AD) is a legacy Microsoft directory that stores information about members of the domain, including devices and users, verifies their credentials and defines their access rights. Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory or AAD) is a modern cloud-based identity and access management solution that also provides a foundation for device management solution called Intune. During the transition period, both directories are co-existing and are working together in our hybrid AD environment.
The Clinical Evaluations tool (also known as "Digital CPE"), used by the Faculty of Nursing, allows Nursing students and Clinical Instructors to document and evaluate the clinical performance of students during their practical clinical placements.
CuMA is a curriculum mapping tool that also serves as an archive of all Senate-approved learning outcomes at the University of Windsor. CuMA allows you to create or revise course and program learning outcomes for submission to PDC, build curriculum maps to visualize how courses align to program outcomes, and export your curriculum-related data to Excel for further analysis.

The My Attendance application supports the tracking of staff absences at the department level.
The UWinCARD is the University of Windsor photo identification card used by staff, faculty, and students. It is used to access the Toldo Lancer Centre as well as other doors on campus, the university meal plan.
SCLogic Package Tracking system is used by Facility Services and Residence Services to manage and track receiving and distribution of packages on campus.

This service is hosted on Microsoft Exchange Online servers that are housed in Microsoft datacenters in Toronto and Quebec City (Microsoft Cloud) and are accessible to users on a wide range of devices from inside University's campus wired and wireless networks and over the Internet.
I.T. Services provides a wide variety of telephone services to all locations on campus, and selected off campus locations.
The Accessible Information Management (AIM) is an online application for students and faculty that provides a myriad of functions related to the Office of Disability Services, including processing accommodations requests and renewals, and scheduling and approving exams with the Testing Center.
